Clubs flex would be bending back towards the rear. Not and axe motion where it bends down to flatten club. This doesnt make sense

What's more important is your Lie angle at impact, not address. If you're striking the ball with toe down and heel up like he shows, then your clubs are too flat, and you need to bend your clubs more upright. Just addressing the ball flatter won't change your natural swing.

arent you basically just changing your angle by doing this. you are basically just making people swing more flat.

Don’t tell people this misleading information..it’s not at all how you start your swing but how your club face strikes the ball that matters..as long as your swing gets you back to the correct position you can hit a proper shot

He’s not wrong I noticed this myself got new wedges I’ve got them standard lie my gap-4 is 2 flat (as fitted btw) and I lay them flat and at impact have noticed toe digging lately

If it works, dance with the one that brung ya. However, there is a potential for inconsistencies as you may not be able to replicate the same amount of toe rise consistently.

Tom. Thank you so much. This was exactly what I’d been looking for. My driving had become really inconsistent as I’d not been hitting the ball straight and losing a lot of distance. Consequently, my swing had speeded up to try to make up distance, which just made things worse. I watched this video, which seemed to make complete sense and decided to give it a go. Yesterday I played with my friends in my usual midweek four ball game. Unfortunately, having just seen your video the night before, and arriving later than I meant to, I’d had no time at all to practice your teaching. I stood on the first tee thinking, “45 degrees, 45 degrees” and swept the ball away. To my amazement, it went straight down the middle, with a lovely gentle draw, outdriving my friends. They were, as we say in the UK, “gobsmacked”! On the second tee, the same thing happened. On the third tee, the same thing happened. All but, I’d say maybe three drives were like this. Even the three poor drives weren’t disasters, and I knew that it was because I hadn’t fully completed my backswing. Thank you so much for such a simple but remarkably effective fix. I can’t wait to get back to the course, this time with a bit more preparation time. Now, all I have to do is find again the short game that had been working so well! That round of golf yesterday brought me so much pleasure, and returned my self belief. Thanks again.
